The Art of Developing Critical Literacy in Young Children
Joanna Pinsky is offering a three day sequential professional development class through the Erikson Institute.
Discover how to help children explore art, articulate their perceptions and expand their imaginations. Through examining original art works together we will experience the various ways people organize visual information. Then we will develop discussion strategies that promote visual literacy and critical thinking in the early childhood classroom. Finally, we’ll focus on getting children to talk about their art. In the series, you will enjoy some creative exercises talking about your own art. (No talent is needed!)
