Membership is a major funding source for Art Encounter’s educational service programs. Your membership dollars help to provide innovative art programs in schools and senior centers as well as special community art projects. Membership is required for all series programs.

As an Art Encounter member you are entitled to:
• Participaton in our members-only travel program that explores art and architecture. In 2006 our trips include North Carolina, Santa Fe, and the Hudson River Valley. For more information on our trips, check out our travel page.
• Free admission to our annual Members' Party
• Friendship Days: Bring a friend to selected Art Walks and Expanding Visions tours free of charge
• Free admission to our annual Members’ Party
• Discounts on weekend programs, adult classes and most special events

Art Encounter Friends provide a firm financial base for Art Encounter’s ever-expanding outreach programs. Become an Art Encounter Friend and help us provide innovative educational programming so that children of all backgrounds can grow up with a knowledge and enjoyment of art and develop the ability to articulate their responses. In addition, physically limited older adults can enjoy the intellectual stimulation and social interchange provided by our programs. • Free participation in Saturday Gallery Walks
• Invitations to two private events a year. (Sustaining Friends may bring two guests to special programs. Benefactor Friends may choose to have a program at a favorite school or senior citizen residence and bring four guests to events.)
