We believe that art is for everyone. It is our mission to create opportunities for all people to develop an understanding of visual art and discover creative potential. We offer extensive community outreach initiatives that serve youth, seniors, individuals with special needs, and other populations.
We serve these groups through our outreach programs that “bring the museum to the participants.” We conduct activities that range from installing temporary exhibits of original art at the host’s facility, leading groups through interactive discussions about art, and facilitating hands-on art making workshops. We conduct programs at Chicago Public Schools, senior centers, assisted living facilities, community centers, and other sites. All of our outreach programs are tailored to the groups they serve.
