Participants toured Dublin, the city that has inspired artists and writers for centuries. Highlights included Grafton Street, St. Stephen’s Green and Trinity College, home to Celtic masterpiece The Book of Kells. The group of travelers viewed outstanding Irish contemporary art and craft at major museums, notable galleries, and artists’ private studios.

We headed south for a behind-the-scenes view of the booming art and craft culture in North Carolina, famous for its pottery, quilts, art glass, ironwork, and furniture.
We have made five trips to explore the contemporary art of this culture including ceramics, photography, and paintings. We also have explored its rural art communites, and learned about the regions' Afro-Cuban roots.
