September 28, 2017 – Home Studios of Artists Dana DeAno and Kristin Mariani
Meet artists and neighbors Dana DeAno and Kristin Mariani in their Evanston home studios. We will begin the evening at Dana’s studio, where we will get to look closely at the organized collection of everyday materials that she uses to create her work, using drawing and collage. Next, we will head across the street to meet Kristin, a designer and dressmaker whose studio is filled with thread, cloth fragments, and garment remnants. We will get to learn more about how they approach these very tactile materials, and discover the ways they complement each other as neighbor artists.

We will also get a chance to meet some of the artists whose work hangs in the restaurants– and of course, we will enjoy delicious drinks and snacks as well!
