You are among the many who have not been aware of this planned city spanning mid-century works until the present including Eero Saarinen, I. M. Pei, Harry Weese, Gunnar Birkhirts, Ceasar Pelli, John Carl Warnecke, Edward Larrabee Barnes and Robert Venturi to name a few. Then explore art treasures with museum curators, meet inventive artists in their studios, enjoy expansive sculpture parks and gardens in Muncie, Indianapolis, West Lafayette and Westville Indiana.

1:30 -5:00 PM Docent led tour of schools, churches, a library and more designed for this planned city by the most renowned architects from mid-century to the present, including a visit to the Miller House, a hallmark of modernist design by Eric Saarinen, surrounded by some of the most beautiful gardens in the Midwest.
5:30 PM Check-in Hotel Indigo in the Architecture Center.

9:30 AM Depart for Muncie, IN
11:30 AM: Private tour of the elegant David Owsley Museum of Art at Ball State University. Curator Robert La France will show us works selected from over 11,000 pieces in the collection.
1:15 – 2:30 PM Lunch
3:00 – 4:30 PM Visits to the Glick Glass Center on campus and a sculptor’s studio.
5:00 PM Hotel check in and free time

10:30 -11:30 AM Visit Virginia Fairbanks Art & Nature Park on 100 acres of woodland.
