Berkshires (July 31- August 4, 2013)
Immerse yourself in the excess of cultural riches that is “The Berkshires,” and prepare to have all your artistic senses stimulated.
This cultural and recreational mecca nestled in the mountains of Western Massachusetts celebrates the visual and performing arts – music, theatre, dance and art. Highlights include Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival; Tanglewood music festival; the lively, cutting edge Mass MOCA (Massachussetts Museum of Modern Art); the award-winning Williamstown Theatre Festival; Clark Art Institute with its impressionist collections; the Norman Rockwell Museum and studio; Edith Wharton’s grand home and garden; meetings with gallery dealers and local artists at their studios; Susan Pogash (a leader of focus groups) has spent summers in the Berkshires and is eager to share her love of dance, music and theatre with you. She is teaming up with Asela Diaz, a Cuban artist now residing in Chicago, who brings to the trip her love of art and extensive knowledge of artistic processes.
