Studio Visit: Phyllis Bramson, November 13
PROGRAM IS FULL. PLEASE EMAIL US TO ADD YOUR NAME TO WAITLIST
Encounter one of Chicago’s most prominent artists and a winner of several major art awards in her Chicago home and studio. In her color-saturated, dramatic and complex paintings, Bramson sets the stage for various romantic relationships and human folly. Inspired by Rococo and 18th century Chinoiserie, the artist creates naïve sensual characters that seem unaware of a hostile world around them as they engage in light hearted sexuality. We’ll talk to Bramson about her artistic sources and different periods of her work.
