THIS PROGRAM IS FULL.  Please send an email to if you would like to be on a waitlist.

Meet the son and daughter-in-law of the late Chicago artist Don Baum in their Lake Forest home. Don Baum left a major imprint on art in Chicago as an inventive artist and as a supporter of Chicago artists. As part of the Chicago artist group, “Monster Roster,” his work was edgy, expressive and dealt with psychoanalysis. For nearly 20 years, Don Baum served as Director and curator of the Hyde Park Art Center where he promoted artists who became identified as the “Imagists.” In the Baums’ collection, we’ll see a number of works by these artists including Paschke, Wirsum, Brown and Nutt as well as earlier Chicago artists such as June Leaf, Fred Berger, Alice Shaddle Baum, Aaron Siskind, Don Baum, and works by later SAIC graduates such as Elizabeth Shreve and Ken Warneke.
