West Loop Galleries, April 13
Begin the morning at the Kavi Gupta Gallery exploring geometric paintings by McArthur Binion who recently had a major exhibit at the Houston Contemporary Art Museum. Binion creates luminous hybrid paintings comprised of waxbased crayons pressed onto shaped wood and aluminum panels and often mixed with other materials. At Carrie Secrist Gallery, we’ll investigate photographs and videos by Michael Robinson whose work has been included in the prestigious Whitney Biennial in New York as well as in several film festivals. Then we’ll view “Unseen Forces”, an exhibit of vivid abstract expressionist paintings by John Wehmer.
Meet: Kavi Gupta Gallery, 835 West Washington Blvd., 2nd floor, Chicago
