Join Joanna Pinsky for a guided exploration of art in River North's galleries. We’ll begin at Zolla Lieberman, where we'll see classically-painted images by David Kroll. Realistically-rendered, the works place unexpected still life objects in vast, imaginative landscapes. Inspired by the nature surrounding his coastal home on Vashon Island and his second studio in Mexico, Kroll creates an interesting dialogue between natural settings and painted objects.

Next, we’ll visit Addington Gallery to view abstractions of nature by Robin Denevan. We’ll explore how Denevan’s use of encaustic wax and oil medium as well as his choice of colors affect our interpretations of forests and lakes, place and time.

We’ll conclude with a group show at Gallery Victor, featuring work by renowned Chicago artist Marcos Raya, who currently has a piece on display at the Tate Museum in London.
